August Has Arrived with New Designs

Although our normal relaxed summer has evaded us this year, it is truly August already and the wonderful designers we depend on to keep us happy have just produced some delightful designs.

In the shop now and ready to ship, we have two great Halloween charts from WTNT – Hilda Boo & Sunflowers, Too and The Witches Brew. Brenda has the beginning of a seasonal group – this one is Autumn Blessings with a very unique finish. Stitching With The Housewives offers Buzz of the Bees, Long May She Wave from the monthly truck series and for fall, Calvin and Clyde. Three more new Housewives will be here soon.

Teresa Kogut has two really cute Halloween designs – Snarky Cat and Fabulous Monsters Series 2. We have 5 new designs from Plum Street; all are great. Two of our favorites are Summertime Blessings and Grace On Thee. This is our short list of what’s new as there are many more.

We are now in the shop on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00-3:00. Knowing how small we are, no doubt you understand why we can have a small number at a time. To make it easier on everyone, we are working by appointment. This is actually very simple. Just select a time from above days and let us know if you would like 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 or 2:00. Don’t hesitate to make a last minute call as we will try to work you in.

Recently, you have not heard from our web site or our Facebook page because we are in the midst of constructing something new and easier to navigate. Watch for all our new pages.

We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation to all of you who have kept us going by adding to your stash and making arrangements to pick up things we have held for you. Also, the porch pick-up is still working well for some and our mail order service is still going. If you still have packages here, all of the above services are available to you and they need a new home. In the meantime, thanks for being the best stitchers ever and we look forward to having our doors open on a full schedule. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Reopening Plans

Hello Stitching Friends,

It seems ages ago that we sent out an eblast. We have so missed seeing you in the shop but appreciate all your concern as well as all the mail orders and porch pickups. Thank you. We are excited to see the possibility of once again welcoming you beyond the porch.

OPENING DATE is JUNE 16

We will open with a few changes called for by our state and CDC. Our first concern is the health and safety of our customers and staff. It is our hope you understand and follow these changes.

New Shopping Guidelines Upon Reopening

• You will need to make an advance appointment by calling 502-893-3112.
• The appointment you make is for you only. You will have 50 minutes to spend in the shop
• You will need to bring and wear a mask while in the shop
• Hand sanitizer must be used at the door
• Keep a distance of 6 ft. between you and others
• Only one person at a time in our small aisles
• Credit cards much appreciated and safer than cash

We hope you understand the necessity of these new guidelines and are as anxious as we are to resume our time together.

With the 2020 Nashville Market beginning in about 4 weeks, excitement is building and a few little sneak peeks may be coming your way.

Before we talk about market, let us tell you about our Valentine’s Day/Inventory Reduction Sale.  Join us on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15 to help us clear some shelf space to handle all the wonderful things we will be bringing home to you.  Friday hours are 10-4 and Saturday hours are 10-2 with 20% off everything in the shop.

Coming To America – The Women of the Mayflower

Brenda Gervais is introducing a very limited edition sampler honoring the Pilgrim women who came to America aboard the Mayflower.  2020 is the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s landing in Cape Cod.  In the shop, we have Brenda’s information letter which outlines the entire project in great detail. Please stop by the shop and learn all the fascinating information Brenda has to share.  

Official registration for this sampler kit begins June 1st and lasts until June 15th.  There will be no other signup dates so mark your calendars now.  As you may have guessed, we will be participating in this fun project.

One other upcoming project we can share is a new multi-piece semi-monthly project from Amy Breucken.  365 Days of Warm Wooly Welcomes featuring 12 of the cutest sheep ever will be introduced at Nashville.  Here is a sneak peek.

For Valentine’s Day, we have Cecilia Turner’s  2020 Collector’s Heart kit and several mini Valentine designs for a quick gift. 

Other new designs have arrived from Cross Eyed Cricket, Country Cottage Snow Village and Pat’s Favorite Needle in all sizes.
